Ashley Curtis Sundberg
PA-C, MPA
Ashley Curtis Sundberg is an accomplished physician assistant (PA) and member of the care team at Sea Island Medical Care. A proud alumna of Michigan State University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in human biology, she went on to earn a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia. Following graduation, she remained in the area to practice in the fields of Emergency Medicine and Urgent Care.
Mrs. Sundberg’s medical roles prior to becoming a PA include working as a certified nursing assistant, medical assistant, and office administrator where she cultivated a sincere commitment to ensuring quality patient care at all levels. She is BLS and ACLS certified and a member of the AAPA.
Ashley moved to Mount Pleasant from Virginia with her husband and their Pembroke Welsh Corgi and recently welcomed a new son into their family. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and volunteering in the community. She also loves spending days enjoying the beach and trying new restaurants.
Ashley looks forward to serving the Mount Pleasant community and providing the same quality care you’ve come to expect from the team at Sea Island Medical Care.
Jessica Watson
P.A.
Jessica Watson is a physician assistant with 10 years of clinical experience. A graduate of MUSC, she moved to Baltimore to start her career while her husband finished his PhD. In 2013, they returned to the Charleston area to continue their careers and start a family.
Jessica has extensive experience in internal and family medicine, interventional pain management and urgent care. Her recent career path in urgent care has given her the most satisfaction. She is able to provide excellent medical care and patient education while still having plenty of time outside of work with her family.
When not working, Jessica loves spending time with her three daughters, husband and house full of rescue animals. She is an avid football fan, enjoys working out, and loves eating and reading.
Jessica is very excited to be a part of the Sea Island Medical Care family and looks forward to bringing excellent medical care to the Mount Pleasant area.
Lauren Williams
FNP
Lauren Williams is a family nurse practitioner (FNP) with an extensive background in women’s health. A registered nurse for nearly 10 years prior to advancing her degree, Lauren enjoyed caring for the entire family as a labor and delivery nurse. Lauren earned her master’s degree from Frontier Nursing University in Hyden, Kentucky, and has been providing excellent care to the patients of Sea Island Medical Care ever since.
Lauren’s interests include family medicine, psychiatric care, weight loss management, and integrating conventional western medicine with complementary alternative medicine to take better care of the whole person!
A Mount Pleasant local, Lauren enjoys spending her time off with her husband, Thomas, and their five children, and two French bulldogs. She loves to dig her toes in the sand while diving into a good book when her kids aren’t keeping her busy.
